After your initial consultation, once all your questions have been answered and you are comfortable with the treatment plan, your informed consent will be obtained. Expect to have your photograph taken to record your baseline image and celebrate your improvement. Your photographs will be kept in your file with the same strict confidentiality as the rest of your medical records.
aspireMD comfort cream will be applied to the treatment area prior to the injections to ensure that the procedure is as comfortable as possible.
The treatment area is then thoroughly cleansed. For maximum safety, Dr. Jane uses a Doppler sound wave instrument to map out critical arteries and nerves in the treatment area. With precision, the dermal filler is strategically placed to augment the definition and strength of your nose, cheek, chin, jawline, lift lines and folds to create facial support as pre-determined during your consultation – achieving your ‘surgery-free’ revitalization!
Once your comfort cream is removed, you should expect to spend an additional 20-45 minutes with Dr. Jane, depending on the simplicity or complexity of that particular office visit’s treatment objective.
As much as anatomically possible, Dr. Burk-Vassallo will utilize a comfort tip cannula to place the dermal filler into position. This innovative rounded tip probe maximizes safety and reduces trauma, pain, swelling and bruising.
- You may resume normal activities immediately after the procedure.
- Avoid extremes of temperature, exertion and overly animated facial expressions for 48 hours after treatment.
- The treated area should not be touched or rubbed for two hours.
- Although you will see results immediately, they will continue to improve once swelling abates in 2-4 days and once the product is fully integrated into your tissues in 2 weeks.
- There is potential for redness, tenderness and swelling lasting minutes to days post-treatment.
